About

Welcome to our cozy 3 bed, 2 bath home on the Oregon Coast. We are happy to host friends and family but do not operate the house as a full time short term rental. 

Our Location

Nestled on top of a hill in the cozy town of Yachats, Or, Cedar House is walking distance to the beach, Green Salmon Coffee, Yachats Brewing, Luna Sea Fish House, Ona Restaurant, and all of the other lovely little shops in town. 

Rates

Friends and Family Rental Rate

Weekly rentals get one night free


Oct - May: $150 nightly/$900 weekly

June: $300 nightly/$1800 weekly

July - Aug: $400 nightly/$2400 weekly

Sept: $250 nightly/ $1500 weekly


All rentals subject to $150 cleaning fee

Cleaning fee is $250 if you bring a dog



House Information

About the House


  • Keypad lock on front door. We’ll text you the code,  the code to the garage, and the wifi info.
  • There’s a Nest front door light/camera. The light is motion activated when it’s dark.
  • 3 bedrooms (king, queen, full) - the upstairs King master also has a twin size sleeping loft for kids under the age of 12
  • 2 full bathrooms (downstairs has a tub; push the drain down to plug, and push again to unplug; it’s a little finicky and you might need to wiggle it to get the mechanism to work)
  • Bed linens and towels are provided
  • Washer and dryer (please leave washer door and drawer open after running a load otherwise the machine will get mildewy)
  • Full kitchen (when using dishwasher, please only use a small amount of dishwasher soap, about 1 tablespoon, otherwise it will leave a film). 
  • No grill available.
  • Maximum of 2 driveway parking spaces. No street parking.
  • If needed, vacuum is in the alcove across from washer dryer
  • Per City of Yachats please do not flush wipes (even the flushable kind), diapers, or hygiene products, and do not wash any grease down the sink (grease container under the sink) 
  • Available for kids: stroller, pack and play with sheets, booster chair, books and toys,
  • audio only baby monitor, white noise machine
  • Recycle can go in the big recycle bin in the garage


What you should plan to provide for yourself

  • Toilet paper beyond the first roll
  • Most toiletries (hand, shower, dish, dishwasher and laundry soap available)
  • All food items (no guarantee of any basics in pantry) (please bring home all food items you bring)
  • Please bring trash home with you as we’re not currently equipped to deal with trash - trash bags under sink


House Rules

  • No parties. No smoking anything anywhere or illegal substances in or on the property.
  • Please clear with us any guests and pets that are not from your household
  • Please quiet after 10pm as house is in residential neighborhood
  • If you need to leave dogs alone in the house please leave them in the living room with the couch covered, and the doors to the rest of the house closed. Alternatively, in the downstairs bathroom with the door closed. The dog blankets are in the big supply closet.
  • Please do not allow dogs to sleep on/in the beds. We have two large dog beds which you can move around as needed


Checking out

  • Pile used towels, linens, and kitchen towels in hamper in the laundry room.
  • If you’ve used the heat please set temperature on all thermostats to 55 degrees in MAN mode (one in each of the bedrooms and one in the living room - four thermostats total)
  • Either hand wash dishes or start the dishwasher (red light on floor when dishwasher is running)
  • Empty all trash bins and take trash home with you
  • No need to sweep, vacuum, clean bathrooms, wipe counters, or remake the beds
  • Turn off all lights
  • Lock all doors and windows, please close all window shades.
